Minor Characters

I think the one minor character that intriguing is Reba. Reba in the begining was always about the church and what she thought God would want her to do. She made a big mistake and I think later in the book felt horrible. Everyone makes mistakes and I think it was really cool to see a character change in a book. There are always a lot of people in your life that change, so I think Reba is just like any other person in the real world. I think Reba stood out to me in the book then any other minor characters since she was just like someone I know.

Taking Stock of my work

• I think, I did tell my story very well. I used good detail and explained everyones emotions as well.
• I really checked over my grammar, but of course there was a spelling mistake I missed but caught right before I turned it in.
• I think I can always improve my grammar.
• I always write my ideas down on a piece of paper and put them into a web format and then seeing that helps me write my paper better.
• I write it as a web on a piece of paper, then start writing my paper on the computer. After I finished that I print it out and check over my work and also usually have someone else also look at it.
• They helped me change my title and fix grammar mistakes that I did not see.
• Keep on working on my grammar, and coming up with better titles and introductions.

Dash

In my dash, I love my family to death. My family means the world to me. My entire extended family is very close and we are always getting together for dinners or get togethers. My friends and my pets are also really important to me. I do not think anything is more important to me than family but friends are next. I am very close to my brother and cousins so they are more than family they are like friends too. My neighbors I also love. We have a very close group of neighbors and it is really fun to have picnics in the summer and just hang out with them. My best friend is actually my neighbor too. My family has raised me as a Christian. We try to go to church every sunday so religion is important to me too. I think now that we are in college a lot of people can learn a lot about themselves and what they want to happen later in their life. I know what I want to do as soon as I am done with college and I have goals which help me stay focused.

First Reading pg.11-49

I just finished reading up to page 49 of the Gracious Plenty. This book kept me foucused an interested the entire time. I did not fall asleep while reading it and I wanted to keep on reading. So far, I really enjoyed the book. I feel really bad for Finch because it must be really hard to deal with all the people making fun of her and feeling like she could not fit in. I think Finch's mom also struggled a lot when that kitchen accident happened it seemed. I do not understand why Reba has to be so mean to Finch. She seems like a bitter old lady and it is kind of sad. I hope later in the book Reba becomes nice. At fist I was a little confused with Finch talking to the dead but then towards the end of reading it all made sence. I am curious to see what happens next.

What I think....

I think the book, Gracious Plenty looks really interesting. In class, you said that it helped you cope with a death in your family and I recently lost my Aunt so I think I will enjoy reading the book. I think it is kind of werid how she talks to dead people but I do pray so maybe for her it is the same thing. I only usually read in the summer time because that is when I have a lot of free time. Hopefully, I will be able to find free time. Usually when I read a book that I do not like I will end up falling asleep or keep on pushing it off. I hope I enjoy reading this book, and I think I will.
